Athletic defensive tackle who came onto the NFL scene as an undrafted rookie free agent with the New Orleans Saints out of Tulsa in 2012. Emerged as a contributing threat along the Saints defensive line from 2013-14 before joining the Lions last season.

COLLEGE
Began his college playing career at Jones County (Miss.) Junior College before transferring to Tulsa. Started all 26 games in two seasons for the Golden Hurricane (2010-11) and finished his career there with 84 tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 11 pass defenses, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

  • As a senior in 2011, recorded 41 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, eight pass defenses, three forced fumbles and two blocked kicks.

PERSONAL
Played his high school ball at Westgate (La.) High School where he helped his team win the Class 5A state championship. Earned first team all-district honors as a senior and recorded 64 tackles that season.
