• Prepped at James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC) HS, where he was named South Carolina Mr. Football at the 2005 SCADA North-South All-Star game

• Earned South Carolina All-State defensive back honors his senior year, was tabbed the Gatorade State Football Player of the Year and earned Orlando Sentinel South Carolina Player of the Year

• Recorded 4 INTs, 3 FFs, over 2,000 yards of total offense and 16 total TDs as a senior

• One of the top 20 cornerback prospects in the country by Scout. com, his high school team won four straight South Carolina Class AAAA football State Championships and compiled a 58-2 record in four years

• Named team MVP his junior and senior years.
