Among the other top spots he holds in the Irish record books include single-game field goals (five), single-game points (17), single-season field goals (23), single-season 50-yard field goals (three) and career 50-yard field goals (four).

2014: Converted on 14-of-24 field goal attempts as a senior and was named to the 2014 Senior Bowl Watch List. Also doubled as the team’s punter and recorded 51 punts, 42 of which were not returned. Recorded 12 punts of at least 50 yards and averaged 63.3 yards per kickoff (81 for 5,131 yards)

  • His third-quarter field goal against Rice gave him 202 career points, making him the sixth Irish kicker to surpass the 200-point plateau.
  • Booted a pair of 50+-yard punts vs. Purdue, the second game in his career with two 50+-yard punts in one game.
  • Connected on a 32-yard field goal as time expired to give the Irish a 31-28 victory over No. 22 LSU in the Music City Bowl.

2013: Saw action in all 13 games as both the punter and placekicker, going 20-for-26 on field goals, including a school-record three field goals of at least 50 yards. Was perfect on 38 extra point attempts and averaged 41.1 yards per punt in his first season on the punting job.

  • Made a career-high-tying five field goals in Notre Dame’s 29-16 win over Rutgers in the 2013 New Era Pinstripe Bowl. The five field goals also equaled an NCAA bowl game record.
  • Had his longest punt of the season (56 yards) at Pittsburgh.
  • Scored a season-high 13 points in the win over Arizona State, connecting on three-of-four field goals and four extra points.

2012: Converted 23-of-31 field goal attempts, becoming the second kicker in school history to connect on at least 20 field goals in a single season. His 23 field goals also surpassed the single-season record held by John Carney (21, 1986).

  • Kicked off 71 times for a combined 4,445 yards, averaging 62.6 yards per kick, and recorded a touchback on 26 occasions.
  • Set a school record for single-season points by kicking (97) with 23 field goals and 28 extra points.

2011: Played in all 13 games as a freshman as the team’s kickoff specialist. Kicked off 71 times, totaling 4,635 yards and 12 touchbacks. Also made two tackles on special teams.

PERSONAL
At Plymouth (Mich.) High School, set Michigan state high school record with 19 made field goals as a senior in 2010, including six-of-nine from 50 yards or more. Also averaged 43.2 yards per punt and 60-of-63 kickoffs resulted in touchbacks. Played in Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and was rated as the ninth-best player in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press. Tabbed the nation’s best kicker by Scout.com and named First Team All-State by the Associated Press following his senior season.
