TRANSACTIONS:Claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions on September 4, 2011.

2011: Signed with the Lions on September 4. Has 58 carries for 195 yards and 2 TD on the ground this year.

Inactive in season opener at Tampa Bay (9/11).
Got his first game-action since joining the Lions in home opener vs. Kansas City (9/18). Carried the ball 9 times for 25 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown with 8:46 remaining in the game.
Split carries with RB Maurice Morris vs. Atlanta (10/23). Finished with 9 for 44 yards (4.9 avg).
Again sharing the load with RB Maurice Morris, he finished with 25 yards on 11 carries and 1 reception for 5 yards at Denver (10/30).
Scored on a 16-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter vs. Green Bay (11/24). It was his second rushing touchdown of the season.

PERSONAL: Attended Northside High School in Lafayette for three years before transferring to Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va.

Became the first running back in school history to rush for more than 1,000 yards at Hargrave.
Named the offensive MVP of Class 4A in Louisiana in 2004.
