Joins the Lions after stints with the Seahawks (2013-15) and Jaguars (2016). In his first four seasons. Prior to Detroit Hill played in 31 career games and totaled 50 tackles (31 solo), seven sacks, one interception, five pass defenses and four fumble recoveries.

2016: Spent the beginning of the season on Seattle’s Reserve/Injured list before being released. Appeared in four games with the Jaguars primarily as a reserve along the defensive line.

2015: Played in 10 games before ending the season on Reserve/Injured (calf). Collected 24 tackles, three tackles for loss, one pass defense and one fumble recovery.

  • Recovered a fumble in Week 1 (9/13) at the St. Louis Rams.
  • Made his first-career start at defensive tackle against the Lions in Week 4 (10/5). Finished with five tackles.

2014: Played in 13 games and recorded 19 tackles, 5.5 sacks, one interception, three fumble recoveries and four pass defenses. Recovered fumbles in three consecutive weeks along the Seahawks defensive line.

  • Posted his first-career interception in a victory over the St. Louis Rams in Week 17 (12/28).
  • Recovered a fumble for the third consecutive game at Kansas City.
  • Recovered a fumble in a victory over the New York Giants.
  • Recorded his first-career fumble recovery against the Cowboys in Week 6 (10/12).

2013: Played in four games as a rookie while registering seven tackles, 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss.

  • Made his rookie debut at Indianapolis in Week 5 (10/6) and finished with two total tackles.
  • Posted his first-career solo sack in a Week 15 (12/15) victory at the New York Giants.
  • Registered a half-sack against the Titans in a Week 6 (10/13) victory against the Titans.

COLLEGE
Played in 45 career games (27 starts) at Penn State along the defensive line. Saw action as both a defensive tackle and as a defensive end. Posted career totals of 171 tackles (64 solo), 9.5 sacks, three pass defenses, four fumble recoveries and one interception.

  • Earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors as a senior and started in all 12 games. Finished fourth on the team with a career-high 64 tackles (29 solo).
