A reliable slot receiver for the New York Jets over the last five seasons (2011-15), Kerley joins WR Golden Tate and WR Marvin Jones as the veterans of the Lions receiving corps in 2016. Leaves New York ranking first in receptions (316) and receiving yards (2,225) over his six seasons with the team.

2015:Concluded his tenure with the Jets by finishing the season with 16 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Hauled in touchdowns vs. Philadelphia (9/27) and at New England (10/25.

2014:Finished second on the team in receiving yards (409) and tied for second in receptions (38), and had one touchdown reception. Also totaled 38 rushing yards on two carries and led the team in punt returns with 25 for 199 yards.

  • Recorded his longest punt return since 2012 (68 yards) on a 41-yard return at Buffalo (11/24).
  • Caught his lone touchdown of the season vs. Chicago (9/22).

2013: Appeared in 12 games (seven starts) and led the team in receptions (43) and receiving yards (523), while also logging 13 punt returns for 115 yards and one kickoff return for 19 yards.

  • Recorded at least four receptions in six games, including three with five (at Atlanta, vs. Cleveland, at Miami) and one with a season-high eight (vs. New England)

2012: Established career highs in every receiving category as he led the team in receptions (56), receiving yards (729) and receiving average (13.2). Also returned 19 punts for 208 yards and his first career return touchdown. Accounted for a team-high six plays of 40-plus yards.

  • Led the Jets in third-down receptions (19) and fourth-quarter receptions (16).
  • Became the Jets’ primary receiving threat following an injury to WR Santonio Holmes in Week 4. Over the season’s final 12 games, led the team in receptions in six games and receiving yards in seven.
  • Returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown vs. Buffalo (9/9), the first of his career.

2011: As a rookie, finished sixth on the team 29 catches for 314 receiving yards and one touchdown.

  • Became the first Jets rookie to record a touchdown on his first career reception since WR Chansi Stuckey in 2008 when he hauled in a nine-yard touchdown pass from QB Mark Sanchez at New England (10/9).
  • Made his NFL debut in the Jets’ 27-24 win vs. Dallas (9/11).

COLLEGE
Appeared in 50 contests with 21 starts at TCU, posting 120 receptions for 1,299 yards and 12 touchdowns, and 63 rushing attempts for 306 yards with eight scores. Added 1,299 yards with two touchdowns on 94 punt returns (13.8 average) and 1,006 yards on 37 kickoff returns (27.2 average).

  • As a senior, named first-team All-Mountain West Conference as a returner and second-team as a wide receiver. MWC Special Teams Player of the Year, two-time Special Teams Player of the Week and Paul Hornung Award finalist.
  • Started 11-of-13 games and led team with 56 receptions for 575 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior.

PERSONAL
Named all-district most valuable player and second team all-state while attending Hutto (Texas) High School as a junior and senior. Rated as a four-star prospect as the 33rd wide receiver recruit in the country.
