One of the most explosive players on the Panthers’ defense at Florida International who finished his college career with 116 total tackles (82 solo), 13 sacks (72 yards), three interceptions, four pass breakups and seven forced fumbles.

COLLEGE
One of the most explosive players on the Panthers’ defense at Florida International who finished his college career with 116 total tackles (82 solo), 13 sacks (72 yards), three interceptions, four pass breakups and seven forced fumbles.

2013: Started in all 12 of FIU’s games as a senior, ending his Panthers career with a school-record 12 quarterback hurries. Led the team in sacks with four (24 yards) and forced fumbles with three, which tied for third in Conference-USA.

  • His 9.5 tackles for loss ranked 14th in Conference-USA.

2012: Earned Third Team All-Sun Belt honors from Phil Steele as a junior after playing in all 12 games, including 10 starts at defensive end. Totaled 30 tackles (22 solo), two sacks (14 yards), one interception, two pass defenses and two forced fumbles.

  • Had multiple tackles in seven games on the season and finished second among defensive linemen in that category.
  • Had his best game of the season against Western Kentucky (10/27), finishing with eight tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and one pass breakup.

2011: Posted the most sacks of his career as a sophomore with five, as well as 44 tackles (31 solo), two pass breakups and one forced fumble. Helped the Panthers’ defense earn national rankings as the No. 14 scoring defense, No. 15 in sacks, No. 22 rush defense and No. 30 total defense.

  • Recorded a sack and a 34-yard interception return vs. Middle Tennessee State (11/26).

2010: Played in 10 games as a true freshman, beginning the season with a stellar performance against Rutgers (9/11) where he recorded three tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

Played his high school ball at Tampa Bay (Fla.) Technical, helping lead the team to a 10-2 record as a senior. List of achievements include 2009 Associated Press Class 5A All-State Second Team, 2009 Tampa Tribune All-Hillsborough County Football Team First Team Defense, 2009 All-District 8-4A First Team and South All-Star team for the 2009 Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star Football Classic.
