Biography

Having spent the previous five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2011) and New York Jets (2012-15), Walls joins the Lions’ talented mix of youth and experience in the secondary in 2016.

Having spent the previous five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2011) and New York Jets (2012-15), Walls joins the Lions’ talented mix of youth and experience in the secondary in 2016.

2015: Appeared in 13 games and finished with three total tackles, all of which came at New York Giants (12/6).

2014: Tallied career highs in tackles (40), interceptions (two) and pass defenses (12), starting 12 of the 14 games he played in.

  • Posted a career high seven tackles at Buffalo (11/24).

2013: Played in all 16 games (three starts) and finished with 18 tackles (16 solo), four pass defenses and three special teams tackles.

2012: After being signed to the active roster from the practice squad in November, played in the final six games of the season and recorded two tackles.

  • Made his Jets debut on Thanksgiving Day vs. New England (11/22).

2011: Joined the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Notre Dame and appeared in five games, as well as the Falcons’ postseason contest. Finished his first NFL season with one tackle, one interception, two pass defenses and one special teams tackle.

COLLEGE
In four seasons at Notre Dame, started 34-of-35 games and collected 140 tackles and five interceptions.

PERSONAL
Named a second team defensive back on the 2005 USA Today Prep All-America team after earning four letters at Woodland Hills (Pa.) High School. Finished his prep career with 124 tackles (80 solo) and 16 interceptions.
