Sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2013 who spent his first NFL season as a member of the Lions practice squad. Will look to add depth to the Lions receiving corps in 2014.

COLLEGE
In only two seasons at Virginia Tech, finished his career with 45 receptions for 834 yards (18.5 avg.) and six touchdowns. All six touchdowns came during his senior campaign in 2012. Started his career as a student-athlete at the University of Kansas as a member of the track & field team.

2012: Played in all 13 games (eight starts) for the Hokies, including 655 plays on offense.

  • Caught five passes for 82 yards in a win over Georgia Tech.
  • Caught two passes for 44 yards and a touchdown against Austin Peay.
  • Had four catches for 80 yards and a touchdown against Cincinnati.
  • Hauled in five passes for 143 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown pass at North Carolina.
  • Had a season-high 124 yards receiving on seven receptions against Florida State.
  • Scored Tech’s only touchdown on a 21-yard reception from QB Logan Thomas against Rutgers in the Russell Athletic Bowl.

2011: Saw action in six games, totaling 57 snaps on offense, in his first year as a Hokie.

  • Caught first-career pass for seven yards against Marshall.
  • Won the Dr. Richard M. Bullock Award, given to the offensive player who shows the most improvement during spring workouts.

2010: Transferred to Virginia Tech from Kansas as a walk-on to the football team.

2009: Attended the University of Kansas for two years as a member of the Jayhawks’ track & field team.

PERSONAL
Lettered two seasons in football as a quarterback for Head Coach Leonard Hart at Woodlawn (Md.) High School.

  • Was a Nike indoor track All-American as a senior. Won first team- all-state indoor and outdoor track honors.
