  • Signed with the Lions as an undrafted rookie free agent April 30, 2010.

PRO: Spent all of the 2010 season, with the exception of the season opener at Chicago (9/12), on the Reserve/Injured list. Originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with Detroit April 30, 2010, Berry impressed Lions’ coaches through training camp and the preseason earning a spot on the 53-man roster.

2011: Back-up cornerback and contributor on special teams. Has 29 tackles and 10 pass defenses on the year.

  • Saw significant action in the team's opening day win at Tampa Bay in nickel situations.
  • Tied career-high with 4 tackles (2 solo) vs. Kansas City (9/18).
  • Inactive at Dallas (10/2) with a groin injury.
  • Had a key pass defensed vs. San Francisco (10/16) in the third quarter when he defended a QB Alex Smith pass intended for WR Michael Crabtree on second-and-9 at the Detroit 13-yard line. The 49ers ended up settling for a 31-yard field goal on the drive.

2010: With a start in the regular season opener at Chicago, Berry along with rookies DT Ndamukong Suh and RB Jahvid Best, the Lions have now started a total of seven rookies on opening day over the past two seasons. Seven rookies starters are the most by the Lions in back-to-back seasons since 1973, when rookie starters were first tracked.

  • In first career game and start at Chicago (9/12) returned an interception for 23 yards in the first quarter to set up a RB Jahvid Best 7-yard score on the ensuing drive. Suffered an injury early in the second quarter and did not return to the game.

COLLEGE: Berry spent his four-year collegiate career at Pittsburgh where he played in 48 games with 33 starts, tallying 93 tackles, 27 pass defenses, 2.0 sacks and 6 interceptions.Finished career as a two-time All-Big East cornerback, including first-team honors as a senior.

2009: Compiled 31 tackles, 10 pass defenses and an interception despite missing two games due to a shoulder injury. Led Big East (tied) in pass defenses per game (1.0 average).

2008: All-Big East (second team). Compiled 41 tackles, a sack, 3 interceptions (ranked second on team) and a team high 10 pass defenses. Also recorded 76 yards on 14 punt returns (5.4 avg.).

  • Blocked a field goal at USF.
  • Grabbed an interception in the Sun Bowl vs. Oregon State and matched a career high 3 pass defenses.
  • Recorded a career-high 9 tackles at Notre Dame with a two-yard tackle for loss.
  • Had 7 tackles vs. Iowa.
  • Recorded a season-long punt return of 24 yards vs. Syracuse.

2007: Played in all 12 games, starting the final nine contests. Had 19 tackles and a team-high two interceptions. Also tied for second on the team with 5 pass defenses. Was Pitt's top punt returner and averaged 8.6 yards on 24 returns (206 total yards). His 8.6 yards/punt return average ranked third in the Big East.

  • Averaged 17.7 yards on 6 punt returns vs. Syracuse. His 53-yard return at the end of the third quarter put Pitt at the Orange 13-yard line. Three plays later LeSean McCoy scored on a 1-yard touchdown to give Pitt the permanent lead.
  • At Louisville, had a pick at the Cardinals' 27-yard line that Pitt parlayed into their first touchdown.
  • Helped clinch the win over Cincinnati when he intercepted a deep ball at the Pitt 17-yard line with 2:48 left.

2006: Lettered as a true freshman, serving on special teams and as a reserve cornerback. Played in all 12 games and recorded 2 tackles and 2 pass defenses at UCF.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Standout defensive back and receiver at Bishop McDevitt who ranked among Pennsylvania's most heralded players. Named to the Associated Press Pennsylvania Class AAAA All-State Team (first team).

  • Averaged over 19 yards per catch as a senior with 67 receptions for 1,278 yards and 21 touchdowns.
  • Had eight receptions at cornerback, returning 3 for touchdowns.
