2012: Finished his senior year with a career-high 21 receptions for 166 yards and a career-best three touchdowns en route to a win over Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship Game. Played a key role in the running game as an edge blocker for an Tide offense that averaged 224.5 yards per game.

  • Caught a two-yard touchdown pass in the season opener against Michigan and helped block for 232 rushing yards on the day.
  • Hauled in a career-high four passes for 25 yards against Florida Atlantic.

  • Earned Alabama Offensive Player of the Week following a win over Penn State where he contributed on both offense and special teams in the field goal unit. Finished the game with three catches for 34 yards and a touchdown.
  • Helped the Tide run for a season-best 327 yards against North Texas.
  • Hauled in a career-long 37-yard touchdown reception on a fake punt on the opening drive of the game against Arkansas.

2010: Started in 11 of the 13 games and hauled in eight passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.

  • Recorded his first-career touchdown reception on a 19-yard catch against Florida.

2009: Played in all 14 games (three starts) as a reserve tight end and made his first career start against Mississippi State. Totaled three receptions for 29 yards in his freshman season.

Doubled as a defensive end and tight end his senior season at Pickens County (Ala.) High School under head coach Jack Cook. Was ranked as the No. 26 defensive end nationally by ESPN.com and was listed as the No. 4 defensive end nationally and the No. 10 overall prospect on the Alabama Top 35 list by Rivals.com.
