COLLEGE

2012: Named team Offensive Upfront Co-Player of the Year after starting all 13 games at right guard. Part of an offensive line that averaged 6.2 yards per play, ranking second best in the Mid-American Conference.

  • Contributed to an offense that produced nearly 400 yards of offense per game and scored 30 or more points in 10 games, while anchoring an offensive line that allowed just 15 sacks. CMU’s 15 sacks allowed ranked 17th, nationally.
  • Helped pave the way for RB Zurlon Tipton to rush for 1,492 yards and 19 touchdowns, the second-highest total by any Chippewa back in school history.
  • Protected QB Ryan Radcliff as he threw for 3,000-plus yards for the third consecutive season (3,158).

2011: Starting center for season opener against SCSU before resuming duties at right guard for the rest of the season.

  • Co-recipient of CMU’s Offensive Upfront Player of the Year award.

2010: Started at right guard in eight games as a sophomore.

  • Part of an offensive line that contributed to 429 yards of total offense and four touchdowns in a loss at Northwestern.

2009: Competed in all 14 games, making three starts at center and also seeing action on special teams.

  • Made his first career start at Western Michigan.

2008: Redshirted.

PERSONAL
Three-year starter at Traverse City West (Mich.) High School where he was ranked as the No. 43 prospect on the Detroit Free Press Fab 50. Helped lead his team to a Big North Conference title and state playoff berth as a junior.

  • Was a two-time all-conference selection that finished with 38 pancake blocks and graded at 90-percent for his career as an offensive lineman.
  • Also earned three varsity letters in basketball.
