Biography

Bruising fullback at Florida State who was a member of the Seminoles’ 2013 BCS National Championship run. Began his career as a defensive back as a true freshman before switching to running back and fullback from 2011-2013. Played in 43 career games at Florida State and carried the ball 13 times for 54 yards (4.2 avg), and caught nine passes for 73 yards and three touchdowns.

COLLEGE

2013: In his only season as a starter on offense, finished his senior year with seven carries for 29 yards (4.1 avg), as well as nine receptions for 73 yards and three touchdowns. Primarily a blocker in the Noles’ high-powered offense, Abram helped his team tally 2,844 (5.6 yards per carry) and a school-record 42 rushing touchdowns.

  • Scored his first-career touchdown on a 10-yard grab at Boston College, and followed up with a second touchdown on a two-yard reception at Wake Forest.
  • Caught an 11-yard touchdown pass in the BCS National Championship to bring the Seminoles within a point of Auburn in the fourth quarter.

2012: Played in 13 games as a junior, primarily on special teams, where he recorded five tackles and forced a fumble. Carried the ball four times for 20 yards on the season.

  • Had a career-high three carries for 12 yards in a win at Maryland.
  • Ran for a career-long eight yards on a carry against Duke.

2011: Saw an increased role as a sophomore, contributing mostly on special teams as he finished the season with five tackles. Made the switch from safety to fullback and saw his first carry against North Carolina State (two yards).

2010: Began his career at Florida State as a defensive back who saw action in 12 games on special teams.

  • Registered his first-career tackle in the season opener against Stamford.

PERSONAL
Committed to Florida State as a three-star prospect out of Kathleen (Fla.) High School. Missed three games as a senior due to injury, but finished the season with 30 tackles, two interceptions and seven pass breakups.

  • Rated as the No. 64 player in the state (Florida) by Rivals.com and the No. 13 safety prospect according to ESPN.
  • Was a First Team All-Polk selection as a senior.
