Was a major contributor on Louisiana Tech’s defense all four years (2012-2015). Recorded 100 tackles and nine interceptions going into his senior season.

2015:  Jim Thorpe Award Watch List. Recorded 50 tackles (39 solo) including one and a half tackles for loss and a forced fumble. Performed well against the pass, tallying 11 pass defenses and one interception.

2014: Finished the year second on the team with five interceptions and tied for first on the team with nine pass defenses while recording 46 total tackles (30 solo) and four tackles for a loss of 17 yards.

  • Picked off two passes, had one pass defense and assisted on a tackle against Western Kentucky.
  • Had yet another two-interception game as he also got in on six total stops (four solo) at Old Dominion.

2013:  Played in all 12 games, starting in 11 as he made 49 total tackles (31 solo) with one tackle for a loss of five yards which was a sack. Led the team with four interceptions returned for 70 yards, recovered two fumbles, forced one fumble and was credited with seven pass defenses.

  • Totaled seven tackles (three solo) at UTEP with an interception returned for 44 yards and a pass defense.

2012:  Recorded five total tackles on the year with three solo stops and two assisted tackles.

  • Registered four total tackles at New Mexico State.
  • Caught a pass from the punter on a fake punt play at Texas State for a seven-yard reception and first down.

PERSONAL
A three-star athlete that lettered in football, track and field, baseball and basketball at Port Gibson (Mass.) High School. Ranked 24th in Postseason Top 50 in Mississippi.
