Reggie Bush Blog: "Running the ball will be even more critical this week"

In his Week 2 blog, Reggie Bush looks at this week's matchup at Arizona and how important a win would be for the Lions

"I really wasn't surprised with the way the Vikings played us last week after what we had seen on film. I knew that in order for them to change up the way they play and let up on Calvin a little bit, we were going to have to force them to.

"We had to prove to them that we could run the ball and prove to them that we could hit the big play. I think we did that throughout the four quarters of the game. They started to change their schemes a little bit toward the end.

"Running the ball will be even more critical this week since it's a road game. The crowd is going to be loud, and I think when you run the ball physically and are constantly gaining positive yards, it takes the crowd out of it a little bit. It doesn't allow them to stay as energetic throughout the game.

"I do think this game is going to be a lot tougher for us to run the ball, but I think if we don't get frustrated early and just keep at it and stay positive, it will come -- the big plays will come. I am looking forward to this game being a tough, physical running game.

"I think it is very important to get a win this week. We've shown we can win at home, but in the preseason when we had to play on the road against Cleveland we struggled.

"Winning this game is important for our confidence and important to keep this momentum going. I'm excited to see how we come out on the road against a team that is facing 0-2, because we know that they're going to throw everything at us. I'm looking forward to seeing how we respond."
