The Detroit Lions inactive list wasn’t as clear-cut as it has been in past weeks.
The Lions are uncommonly healthy, considering we’re in Week 12 of the NFL season, and injuries didn’t play as huge of a factor in the inactive list than it has in previous weeks.
Defensive end Ziggy Ansah, receiver Nate Burleson
and cornerback Bill Bentley
will all make their return to the starting lineup after missing multiple games due to injury.
Running back Joique Bell
(Achilles), safety Glover Quin
(ankle) and defensive end Israel Idonije
(knee), who were all listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report, are also active and will play.
The seven-man inactive list today against Tampa Bay consists of receiver Micheal Spurlock
, quarterback Kellen Moore
, cornerback Jonte Green
, running back Mikel Leshoure
, guard Leroy Harris
, tackle Corey Hilliard
and defensive end Austen Lane
.
Hilliard is a bit of a surprise after practicing in full all week. He hasn’t played since injuring a knee against Cincinnati.
Rookie right tackle LaAdrian Waddle
will make his third start at right tackle with veteran Jason Fox
as the backup swing tackle.
Expect Jeremy Ross
to handle return duties in place of Spurlock as he did the last time Spurlock was inactive against Dallas.
