The Detroit Lions will have the services of running back
Bush (calf) and Ansah (shoulder) were listed as questionable on Saturday’s injury report and both were limited in practice this week, but both will play and start.
Bush missed last week’s loss in Philadelphia after re-aggravating the injury in pre-game warm-ups. Ansah left in the second half and didn’t return.
Each side of the football should benefit from their returns.
Bush is averaging around 140 total yards in six games at Ford Field. He’s also averaging 5.0 yards per carry at home.
Ansah has four sacks in his last three games.
The Lions will be short-staffed at the cornerback position, however.
Green will make his first start of the season in place of Houston. He’s played primarily a special teams role in the seven games he’s been active for this year, but did make five starts in 15 games played last year.
“Jonte has not had to play too much of a defensive role this year, but he did last year,” head coach Jim Schwartz said. “He’s a better player now than he was then. Again, whoever we put out there, we expect him to be able to get the job done.”
