Rookie DE Ziggy Ansah continues his way back from a concussion with second straight day of practice

Rookie defensive end Ziggy Ansah continues his steady climb back from a concussion with his second straight day of practice Friday.

Ansah suffered the injury Aug. 24 and returned to practice in a limited basis for the first time on Thursday. He participated in the both portions of practice open to the media on Thursday and Friday.

The team will release game designations for Sunday's season opener vs. Minnesota on today's 4 p.m. injury report.

The Lions gave veteran defensive end Jason Jones and safety Louis Delmas a day off of practice Friday. Jones hasn't been listed on the injury report at all this week.

Delmas was a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday, but is expected to start Sunday. The Lions are going to monitor his practice schedule throughout the season as he deals with a knee injury.
