PRACTICE REPORT: Twentyman says Calvin Johnson looked "very good"

For a second straight day, WR Calvin Johnson participates in the open portion of practice

Receiver Calvin Johnson was back at practice for a second consecutive day and looked very good in today's session.

He ran routes and went through drills in the portion of practice open to the media and looked the most comfortable he has since injuring his right knee vs. Chicago Sept. 29.

Johnson practiced on a Wednesday for the first time since suffering the injury. He was listed as "limited" on Wednesday’s injury report, but the fact that he followed that up with a second day of practice today is a good sign he can be a bigger participant in Sunday’s game vs. Cincinnati (he played 38 snaps at Cleveland). Johnson was also listed as "limited" on Thursday's injury report.

Running back Joique Bell (ribs) and cornerback Rashean Mathis (groin), who were also limited in Wednesday’s practice, were on the field again today.

Safety Louis Delmas (knee) practiced after sitting out Wednesday. He was also listed as limited.

Tackle Jason Fox (knee), linebacker Ashlee Palmer (ankle), receiver Nate Burleson (forearm), tight end Tony Scheffler (concussion) and running back Theo Riddick (concussion) did not take part in practice.
