The Detroit Lions got a few offensive starters back on the practice field Wednesday as the team began preparations for Sunday’s division showdown with the Chicago Bears.

Running back Reggie Bush, right tackle Jason Fox and receiver Patrick Edwards were all participants in the portion of practice open to the media.

All three players missed last week’s game in Washington. Fox hasn’t played since Week 1 with a groin injury.

The Lions will release the first injury report of the week later today, but it’s a good sign for their availability vs. the Bears that all three players were back on the field on a Wednesday.

The team was without receiver Calvin Johnson, right guard Rob Sims and and safety Louis Delmas. We’ll have to monitor their progress moving forward, but nothing is expected to be serious enough to keep them out any meaningful length of time.

Defensive end Ziggy Ansah and defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who both briefly left last week’s game, but did finish, were both on the practice field.

The Lions were also missing receiver Nate Burleson, who is undergoing surgery today for that broken left arm.
