The Detroit Lions began on-field preparations for Sunday's regular season debut vs. Minnesota today.

The only players not participating were defensive end Ziggy Ansah and running back
Ansah hasn't practiced in more than a week with an undisclosed injury. The Lions No. 1 pick was out at practice watching individual drills, though. The Lions will release the first injury report of the season on Wednesday.
Owens hasn't practiced since sustaining a non-contact knee injury the third preseason game. He's a candidate to be placed on short-term injured reserve with the designation to return after six weeks. The Lions can make that move starting today if they choose.
There were also a couple of number changes after the initial 53-man roster was determined Saturday.
