Calvin Johnson, Reggie Bush and Louis Delmas sit out Wednesday's practice

The Lions were back on the practice field today, but still without receiver Calvin Johnson and safety Louis Delmas. Neither player participated in Tuesday's bonus practice, either.

Running back Reggie Bush joined the pair on the sidelines after participating on Tuesday. He was listed on the first injury report of the week with a calf, which is a new injury.

Both Johnson and Delmas have been dealing with knee injuries all season that have required regular "maintenance" days off of practice.

Chris Houston (foot) took part in the portion of practice open to the media for a second day in a row. He was listed as limited. Still, it’s a good sign that he’ll be ready to return to the lineup in Philadelphia on Sunday after missing last week’s Thanksgiving Day game against Green Bay.

New linebacker Julian Stanford, who the team signed yesterday to take the roster spot of Travis Lewis (suspended), will wear No. 49. He’s expected to be a contributor on special teams.
