Needing depth for their injury-riddled secondary, the Detroit Lions signed free agent cornerback Myron Lewis Sunday.
Lewis, a former third-round pick in 2010 out of Vanderbilt, was released by Tampa Bay last week.
Lewis fits the size profile the Lions like in their secondary at 6-foot-2, 203 pounds. He played in 29 games over three seasons with the Bucs, defending three passes.
Lewis was an All-Southeastern Conference performer at Vanderbilt registering 166 tackles, 10 interceptions, 35 passes defended, 10.5 tackles for loss.
The Lions have yet to announce a release to make room for Lewis on the 90-man roster.
