The Detroit Lions are on the lookout for a fourth defensive tackle behind Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley and C.J. Mosley.

Maybe the team found their man after signing defensive tackle Corvey Irvin to a contract after a workout at the team’s Allen Park practice facility on Monday.

Irvin was with the Lions briefly in 2011, but never appeared in a game.

He played six games for Dallas last year and made three tackles. He played 12 games in Tampa Bay in 2012, four in Jacksonville in 2011 and two in Carolina in 2010.

Irvin, 28, was a third-round pick out of Georgia by Carolina in 2009.
