Posted Sep 11, 2013

DT Nick Fairley, T Jason Fox and S Don Carey all missed practice Wednesday for the Detroit Lions

Add defensive tackle Nick Fairley to the list of Lions injuries coming out of Sunday's, 34-24, victory over Minnesota.

Fairley showed up on the Lions' injury report Wednesday as a non-participant in practice due to a shoulder injury.

It's unclear when the injury occurred as Fairley played 41 of the team's 55 defensive snaps. He was one of the leaders on defense for the Lions with 1.5 sacks, five tackles and a fumble recovery.

Fairley was placed on injured reserve and missed the final three games of last season with a shoulder injury. It's unknown if this is related or a different injury.

The Lions will release game designations for Sunday's game in Arizona on Friday.

Also sitting out practice Wednesday were starting offensive tackle Jason Fox (groin) and reserve safety Don Carey (hamstring)

Fox suffered a groin injury on the second series of last week's game and did not return. Corey Hilliard played the rest of the way and would likely start in Arizona if Fox were unable to play.

Carey was injured after a making a special teams tackle.

Running back Reggie Bush, who suffered a pulled groin and dislocated left thumb vs. Minnesota, was a full participant in practice.

The team listed safety Louis Delmas (knee), defensive end Jason Jones (knee) and safety John Wendling (ankle) as limited participants in Wednesday's practice.
