Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell will give it a go today vs. Cincinnati with those sore ribs.

The third-year running back out of Wayne State, who is sixth among all NFL running backs with 245 receiving yards, is active.

Bell injured his ribs last week in Cleveland and did not finish the game. He practiced all three days this week, but was limited.

"It's just part of the game," head coach Jim Schwartz said Friday of Bell's injury. "He wouldn't be the first running back to have some sore ribs and be able to go out and play. He's a tough guy. If he can do it, then we'll put him out there. If he can't, we'll go to the next guy."

Even with him playing, running back Mikel Leshoure, who is active, could have a little bit bigger impact if the Lions might try to limit Bell's touches.

Rookie Theo Riddick is inactive and will miss his second consecutive game after suffering a concussion in Green Bay two weeks ago. He returned to practice for the first time on Friday, but is not quite ready to return to game action.

There are no other real surprises when it comes to the remaining inactive players. Joining Riddick on the list are receiver Nate Burleson, tight end Tony Scheffler, tackle Jason Fox, quarterback Kellen Moore, guard Leroy Harris and cornerback Jonte Green.

Corey Hilliard will start at right tackle in place of Fox.
