Calvin Johnson ranks seventh in the NFL in catches (75) and second in both yards (1,348) and touchdowns (12) with just three weeks remaining in the season.
It’s no surprise, then, Johnson leads all receivers with 739,701 Pro Bowl votes. That total is good for fifth-most overall among all positions.
Johnson's lead over A.J. Green (573, 279), Dez Bryant (504, 024), Demaryius Thomas (489,219) and Wes Welker (444,767) is significant at the receiver position.
Johnson had his streak of three straight 100-yard games snapped in Philadelphia last week, but still has the single-most yards in one game this season with 329 against Dallas back in October.
Six other Lions rank in the top 10 at their position in the most recent Pro Bowl voting results.
Running back Reggie Bush ranks fifth with 494,547 votes. He trails Marshawn Lynch (746,286), Jamaal Charles (739,971), Adrian Peterson (700,221) and LeSean McCoy (603,253).
Matthew Stafford (413,932) is seventh among quarterbacks. He trails sixth-place Andrew Luck by a little more than 11,000 votes. The Pro Bowl will take the top six quarterbacks regardless of conference because of the rule changes to the Pro Bowl that now splits the teams up by a draft.
Ndamukong Suh (231,650) is fifth among defensive tackles, DeAndre Levy (122,614) is ninth among outside linebackers, Sam Martin (56,185) is ninth among punters and David Akers (46,112) is 10th among kickers.
