The Detroit Lions had just 90 total yards of offense and failed to convert a first down without dynamic running back Reggie Bush in the second half of last week's loss to Arizona.
Let's hope the Lions figured out their problems this week at practice because they'll be without Bush in Washington today. He is inactive with that left knee injury.
Bush injured the knee in the second quarter last week after a taking a helmet to the knee after a 26-yard reception. He returned briefly, but was ineffective and later admitted he shouldn't have come back into the game.
"It's going to be a collective decision," Bush said Thursday when asked if he would play or not. "It's going to be the doctors, the trainers, the coach, me, we're all going to make a decision together as to whether they feel like I can go. And if I can't go, then so be it, I'll definitely be ready for next weekend."
That's now the plan for the Lions and Bush. He'll sit out this week and get him ready for next week's division game at home vs. Chicago.
