The most talked about right knee in Detroit over the last few days was back on the practice field for the Lions today.
Johnson took part in position drills, but didn't do much else in the portion of practice open to the media, and was officially listed as "limited" on Thursday's injury report.
"I don't have any updates on him," head coach Jim Schwartz said after practice Thursday.
"You saw what you saw. Just like before, he's working hard to get better every day. We'll see where we get to when we get to Sunday."
Wednesday and Thursday are the two most important practice days of the week for the Lions, when the bulk of their game plan for the upcoming game is implemented, so the fact that Johnson could take part – even in a limited basis – is a good sign.
"It feels good to be out there with my teammates," he said after practice. "It's always good to be with that cameraderie. Not that it isn't there, but just to be there personally, be out there with the team, it feels good.
"Like I said, I'm feeling better. We'll just leave it at that."
Johnson didn't practice until Friday last week and determined he couldn't go after a pregame workout in Green Bay.
