The former Duke Blue Devil and Lions' first-round draft pick is the 2014-15 winner of the Anthony J. McKevlin Award as the ACC Male Athlete of the Year.

Tomlinson received 10 votes for the McKevlin Award, beating out Notre Dame basketball player Jerian Grant (eight votes), Florida State football and track & field star Jalen Ramsey (seven) and NC State wrestler Nick Gwiazdowski (five).

Tomlinson was a consensus All-American this past fall after helping lead the Blue Devils to their third straight bowl game. He was a first-team All-ACC performer for a second straight season and an academic All-ACC team member for a fourth straight season.

Tomlinson became the Blue Devils' highest NFL draft pick since 1987 when the Lions selected him with the 28th pick in the first round.

He’s expected to compete for a starting spot at left guard for the Lions during training camp.
