LIONS INSIDER

INACTIVES: Lions vs. Browns

Posted Nov 12, 2017

Tim Twentyman reports on inactives for Sunday's Lions-Browns matchup.

The Detroit Lions will be without three starters today as they host the Cleveland Browns, but they do get some good news in the form of rookie receiver Kenny Golladay being back in the lineup for the first time in over a month.

Golladay has missed the last five games due to a hamstring injury, but he's active today. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Golladay showed earlier in the season that he could be a threat both down the field and in the red zone for the Lions.

Detroit already knew they’d be without starting right guard T.J. Lang (concussion) and linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin (ankle). Starting defensive end Ziggy Ansah (back) was doutbful, and is confirmed inactive for today.

The Lions could turn to guards Emmett Cleary or Don Barclay to replace Lang, defensive end Cornelius Washington for Ansah and veteran linebacker Paul Worrilow to pick up the slack in the absence of Reeves-Maybin.

Detroit activated left tackle Taylor Decker off the PUP list on Saturday. He’s active after missing the first eight games of the season with a shoulder injury.

Decker was an All-Rookie Team performer last year, and played every snap on offense. The Lions have missed him the first half of the season.

Welcoming Decker back to the lineup will be No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett, who will be lining up across the ball from Decker for the Browns. Garrett is back in Cleveland’s starting lineup after missing multiple games this season with an injury.

The Lions also activated tackle Corey Robinson off IR on Saturday. He is also active today. So is tackle Brian Mihalik, who’s started the last two games at left tackle. The Lions have four tackles active for today’s game. Could we see a wrinkle there?

Joining Lang, Ansah and Reeves-Maybin on Detroit’s inactive list are: Safety Don Carey, running backs Zach Zenner and Tion Green and cornerback Teez Tabor.
