I reflected after Monday's game and actually had a tough time with the loss -- not as a player, but as a fan. That is definitely a different feeling for me and I understand (probably for the first time) what it's like to feel that kind of disappointment as an outsider looking in.
With the struggles this team has experienced the past five weeks, it's inevitible that the media will jump to speculating about staff and player changes.
The thing is, this team still has two games to play and -- despite needing other teams to lose to make it into the postseason - there is still a chance to win the division.
It is key that the team win out, though, and that is where my concerns begin. It has nothing to do with personnel changes, but more to do with team mentality.
Do the players on this team trust one another? Will they start to make excuses as to why they can't take the next step toward being one of the NFL's perennial contenders?
This team has experienced some deflating losses -- holding fourth-quarter leads only to lose in the end. Whether or not this team can respond with back-to-back wins will say a lot of its character, both this year and beyond.
