Calvin Johnson Blog: If we can make some plays early in the game it gets the crowd into it

WR Calvin Johnson talks about limited play in last week's win at Cleveland and looking ahead to Cincinnati

I definitely wasn't 100-percent last week and being in and out of the game you really don't get into a groove. You want to be hot by staying in the game, but it's just hot and cold when you go in and out of the game. It's a good thing we got the 'W' and it felt good to get out there and get some reps in just to see where my body was at.

It seems like we haven't been home in awhile. It's definitely going to be good to get back home and get some of that energy from the crowd. If we can make some plays early in the game it gets the crowd into it and we will be rolling. We have definitely been playing well as a group the last couple of weeks.

The Bengals have a very good front seven. I played with Michael Johnson in college and he is a freak athlete on the line, and he has just gotten stronger and better with his technique.

The secondary is a veteran group. We aren't going to see busted coverage or anything like that because they have some experience in that group. They are going to play their techniques well, so we have to just be on point, especially on the outside. We will have to make plays because we will be seeing single-high coverage.
