Walgreens continues its partnership with the Detroit Lions as the team's official pharmacy

Walgreens and the Detroit Lions extend their partnership, continuing to bring preventative healthcare resources and charitable programs to disadvantaged and at-risk families throughout Metro Detroit

DETROIT — The Detroit Lions and Walgreens announced today an extension of Walgreens as the Official Pharmacy of the Detroit Lions. Walgreens also remains the presenting sponsor of the team’s Living for the City Health & Wellness community initiative that brings preventive healthcare resources and charitable programs to disadvantaged and at-risk families throughout Metro Detroit.

The Detroit Lions’ Health & Wellness community program is a central component of their Living for the City initiative that is focused on sustainable community health, wellness and development.

As the official pharmacy of the Detroit Lions, Walgreens will also have: camera-visible signage during games and events at Ford Field, on-site displays at select events and a mix of marketing rights and in-stadium assets and promotion at the Club level.

Walgreens has 155 stores in the Metro Detroit area and offers a full range of health and wellness services. As presenting sponsor of the Living for the City Health & Wellness program, they will strengthen efforts to improve the health and wellbeing in the Detroit community.


The Detroit Lions and Walgreens are continuing their partnership with the 2013 flu immunization tour at a Walgreens store in Waterford (20 S. Telegraph, Waterford Township) on Tuesday, October 22 at 3 PM.

Former Detroit Lions tackle and seven-time Pro Bowler, Lomas Brown, will be in attendance to encourage fans to stay healthy this flu season and get immunized at Walgreens. There will be a media opportunity with players from 3:15 – 3:30 PM.

Tuesday’s event will be the first of ten over the next month featuring Lions’ alumni at select Walgreens stores throughout Metro Detroit. Full schedule below:
