The Detroit Lions kicked off Week 2 of the offseason training program with a Town Hall Meeting Monday night at Ford Field.
Season Ticket Members got the opportunity to meet new head coach Jim Caldwell and pose questions for a panel of Caldwell, Tom Lewand, Sheldon White, Teryl Austin, Joe Lombardi and John Bonamego.
One season ticket holder asked the panel what type of players the Lions were looking for. White took the lead and explained that the Lions were looking for closers this year.
Now what exactly does he mean by closer?
"I can tell you we’re going to be drafting a player of high integrity, a guy with a high motor and a guy that finishes well," White said.
The Lions continued to do their homework looking for these closers by bringing in an array of pre-draft prospects this week including star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
Everyone's familiar with Clowney's story at this point, but have you ever wondered what comes to the 21-year-old's mind when he hears the word 'quarterback?' What about 'Detroit?'
Tim Twentyman sat down with Clowney during his visit to play a little game of word association and trust me, you don't want to miss his answers.
In addition to Clowney, the Lions also hosted TE Eric Ebron, CB Kyle Fuller, TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, K Nate Freese, WR Marqise Lee, TE C.J. Fiedorowicz and DE Denico Autry.
