Monday's 9:15 practice marks the first day of Lions training camp open to the general public; family weekend August 3rd and 4th

Tired of waiting for football season to start again? Well, now is the time to catch some early action with the Detroit Lions.

Starting Monday July 29th, Lions' training camp will be open to the general public for eight days of practice.

Camp will be held at the Detroit Lions training facility in Allen Park. Fans will be admitted on a first-come first-served basis, so it is advised to get there as early as possible; there is limited space available. Gates will open 30 minutes prior to the start of practice.

In addition to catching practice, fans can indulge in great food from the local food trucks on-site. They can also gear up at the mobile Lions' pro shop.

Fans will also have autograph opportunities following practice.

August 3rd and 4th will be Family Weekend, which will include live entertainment, face painting, and giveaways for the kids.

Playworks will also host games and activities for young fans and fans can meet the Lions' mascot, Roary, who will be in attendance.
