The Detroit Lions placed running back ![]()
"We'll get him ready for a role on Sunday," said Head Coach Jim Schwartz. "He had a productive role last year with the Philadelphia Eagles and he's a guy that we had our eye toward at the end of camp.
"We'll get him up to speed pretty quickly."
Schwartz says Buckley is a hard runner who has also been very productive on special teams.
"He's strong and he's quick," said Schwartz. "He's young, but he's got some experience - he's played games in the NFL. You're not talking about a guy that's never played before."
Buckley played in 32 consecutive games for Philadelphia from 2009-10, primarily on special teams.

Morris, in his 10th season, played a key role in Detroit's four-game win streak to end the 2010 season.
He ran for 51 yards on 11 carries in Detroit's 7-3 win over the Packers (Green Bay's last regular season loss to date) and for 109 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown at Tampa Bay.
"I've been in this situation plenty of times," said Morris. "It's one of those things where it's nothing new for me. I'll just go out there and do what I can to help this team continue to win."
Second-year back ![]()
In his first season in Detroit, Williams has been used primarily in third-and-short situations. He currently has 49 rushing yards on 19 carries with one touchdown.
"Our styles are kind of similar to each other," said Williams of he and Morris. "We just want to go in there and be physical and make the line look good.
"They'll go in there and take care of their job and we'll run hard."
It certainly won't be an easy task considering the Falcons are one of the better run-stopping teams in the NFL.
"Overall they play fast and they play physical," said Williams. "I think that's definitely something that they do pride themselves in - stopping the run. We have to go in there, play our best and get the job done."
