Allen Park, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions announced today that they have released 20 players and waived/injured DE Korey Bosworth to trim their roster down to the NFL mandated 53-man limit prior to the 6 p.m. league deadline.
The Lions released the following players: CB Dré Bly, DT Rob Callaway, LB Caleb Campbell, LB Vinny Ciurciu, WR Brian Clark, DT Landon Cohen, RB DeDe Dorsey, G Noah Franklin, C Dan Gerberry, K Steven Hauschka, CB Jonathan Hefney, T Jon Jansen, CB Eric King, T Cliff Louis, WR Michael Moore, CB Paul Pratt, CB T.J. Rushing, S Ko Simpson, WR Tim Toone and CB Dante Wesley.
On Friday (September 3), the team also released DT Jaron Baston.

Individual game tickets for the 2010 Detroit Lions’ regular season games at Ford Field are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased on the Internet at Detroitlions.com and Ticketmaster.com or over the phone 800.745.3000 via Ticketmaster. Fans can also purchase tickets for Lions’ regular season games in person at the Ford Field Ticket Office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and at all Ticketmaster outlets. UPCOMING IMPORTANT NFL DATES
- Sept. 5: Claiming period for players placed on waivers at the final roster reduction will expire at Noon, New York time. Beginning at Noon, New York time, clubs may establish a Practice Squad of eight players by signing free agents who do not have an accrued season of free agency credit or who were on the 45-player Active List for less than nine regular season games during each of any Accrued Seasons. A player cannot participate on the Practice Squad for more than three seasons.
