Lions Season Tickets Now on Sale!: Significant Number Of Season Tickets Reduced In Price

Allen Park, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions announced today that 2010 season tickets are now on sale and that a significant portion - approximately 19,000 seats - will cost less than they did last season..The team also indicated that pricing on all other season tickets will remain the same.

Season tickets for 2010 are now on sale now and fans can purchase season tickets by calling 313.262.2010.

"We are very appreciative of the extraordinary support of our fans," said Lions President Tom Lewand. "Their passion for this team is among the best of any professional sports franchise. Over the past two seasons we have offered several ticket options with the hope that more Lions' fans will have the opportunity to attend games at Ford Field. We believe this is another positive and more affordable option for our fans.

"We will also continue to offer our All You Can Eat season ticket, which was extremely successful last season," Lewand continued. "And our pricing structure continues to provide a tremendous savings to season ticket holders compared to the cost of single-game tickets."

Depending on seat location, season ticket holders will realize a savings of $10-40 per ticket compared to the cost of single game tickets which won't be on sale until August. That's a savings of between $100-400 per season ticket.

"Season ticket holders are critically important to us and we want to treat them accordingly," Lewand said. "They provide us with a tremendous foundation of support. We are pleased to be able to offer them such significant savings on their season tickets."


Included in the 19,000 reduced season tickets are approximately 16,000 seats in the lower and upper levels and approximately 3,000 club seats.

Price reductions also include over 13,000 season tickets in the 100 and 200-level sections. More than 8,500 season tickets located in the 100 level (lower seating level) and over 4,500 season tickets in the 200 level (upper seating level) have been reduced by $8 per game for a total savings of $80 per season ticket.

Approximately 1,900 season tickets in the 300-level (upper seating level) have been reduced from $50 to $40 per game, a savings of $100 per season ticket, and another approximately 1,000 season tickets in the 300-level have been reduced from $68 to $54 per game, a savings of $140 per season ticket.

Along with home games against their traditional NFC North Division rivals (Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings) the Lions 2010 home schedule includes the following NFC opponents: Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins. AFC teams visiting Ford Field in 2010 are the following: New York Jets and New England Patriots. Based on traditional national broadcast patterns, the Lions 71st Thanksgiving Day Game is scheduled to air on CBS with either New York or New England visiting Detroit November 25.
