"I really enjoy motivating and inspiring our youth to do better in school and achieve academic success," states Carey. "Since reading is a fundamental skill necessary for any success in life, donating books to the students presented an ideal opportunity for me to do something to impact youth and help them succeed."

Titles to be delivered to the students at the Golightly Education Center include Disney’s The Wonderful World of Space and Wonderful World of Earth; Disney’s A Royal Christmas; Marvel’s The Uncanny X-Men: An Origin Story; Marvel’s The Amazing Spider-Man: An Origin Story; Who is Bill Gates? Who is Barack Obama?; Who Was Rosa Parks?; Who Was Jackie Robinson?; Bulu: The African Wonder Dog; Princess for Hire; and Hothead.

"Just when the world seems to be so cold and uncaring to often forgotten or neglected children within our urban communities, it is encouraging to know that Don Carey represents the great part of humanity who still believes in the powerful manner of giving of ones most valuable possession, the sacrifice of HIS TIME!" says Dr. Sherrell Hobbs, Principal of Golightly Education Center.

"His visit is destined to leave a positive and long lasting effect on our children.  It will encourage them to want to excel academically, motivate them to read the books they will receive from Don and want to emulate his character. We are grateful to him for the inspiring memories that he will leave behind following his visit."
