Lions Acquire CB Chris Houston Via Trade with Atlanta

Allen Park, Mich.-The Detroit Lions announced today that they have acquired CB Chris Houston from the Atlanta Falcons for the Lions' sixth round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and a conditional seventh round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Houston (5-11, 178) spent his first three years in the NFL with the Falcons after being drafted by the club in the second-round (41st overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. His career numbers include:162 career tackles (145 solo), three interceptions (14 yards; 1 TD), 34 pass defenses, a forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries. In 2009, Houston played in 12 games (10 starts) before ending the year on the Reserve/Injured list due to a hamstring injury.
