Hanson probable for Sunday; Best out for third-straight game

Lions also sign punter Robert Malone; Ryan Donahue listed as questionable

Kicker Jason Hanson, who suffered a cut to his left knee during the team's bye week, is probable for this weekend's match-up at Chicago.

Said Hanson on Thursday, "I passed a good test today. It’s not the official one, but I kicked pretty good today. Tonight and tomorrow, we will be able to tell if I can be up for this week."

The Lions also signed punter Robert Malone, placing tackle Jason Fox on the Reserve/Injured list.

Detroit's regular punter, Ryan Donahue, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with a right quad injury. If Donahue is unable to play, Malone will take over the punting and holding duties.

Running back Jahvid Best is listed as out for the third-consecutive game, having suffered a concussion during Detroit's Week 6 game against San Francisco.

Listed as questionable for Sunday's game: Donahue, defensive tackle Sammie Hill (ankle) and safety Louis Delmas (foot).

Listed as probable for Sunday's game: Hanson, wide receiver Rashied Davis (foot), tight end Brandon Pettigrew (elbow) and quarterback Matthew Stafford (finger [right]/ankle).
