Calvin Johnson receives 2014 Pinnacle Leadership Award

NFL All Pro Athlete Calvin Johnson Jr. was awarded the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Pinnacle Leadership Award on February 8, 2014 for his work on and off the field.

TYRONE, GA (APRIL 23, 2014) – NFL All Pro Athlete Calvin Johnson Jr. was awarded the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Pinnacle Leadership Award on February 8, 2014 for his work on and off the field.

Johnson was one of thirteen award honorees who exhibited exemplary public service and initiated change that has positively impacted citizens in the greater Atlanta Community.

The Calvin Johnson Jr. Foundation (CJJRF) has provided scholarships annually to deserving student athletes in the Metro Detroit and Metro Atlanta community. Each year the CJJRF host “Scholars with a Mission” Leadership Conference and invites its cohort of scholarship recipients since 2008. The Foundation also provides “STEM” teaching and tutorial mini grants to teachers in Metro Atlanta and Metro Detroit.

In addition, Johnson’s Foundation sponsor free football camps, provided support for the needy, community support, and has a school partnership with L’Anse Creuse High School in Metro Detroit.
