Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr., a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was in a Detroit area hospital Thursday after being treated for a minor illness.

Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr., a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was in a Detroit area hospital Thursday after being treated for a minor illness.

Mr. Wilson, who turns 94 in October, was in good condition, a Bills spokesman said before Thursday night’s Lions-Bills preseason game at Ford Hospital.

Mr. Wilson is the founder of the Bills, an original franchise of the American Football League. He is a resident of Grosse Pointe Shores and a friend of Lions owner William Clay Ford.
