Playworks
Playworks Detroit is transforming low-income elementary schools by reducing bullying and conflicts, inspiring leadership, helping kids make the right choices, learn respect and inclusion, and the power of healthy and safe play.
Playworks Detroit is the only nonprofit organization in Detroit to send trained, full-time program coordinators to low-income, urban schools, where they transform recess and play into a positive experience that helps kids and teachers get the most out of every learning opportunity throughout the school day.
The Lions will team up with Playworks Detroit to implement Lions Play 60– a youth health and fitness campaign encouraging physical activity for 60 minutes a day.
