Lions team up with the Children's Charities Coalition for LionTown 2012

Posted Aug 3, 2012

The Detroit Lions have teamed up with the Children’s Charities Coalition for LionTown 2012 – a fundraiser that will feature approximately 100 fiberglass lion sculptures that will be displayed throughout Birmingham, Bloomfield and the metro Detroit area in late summer. Each lion sculpture will be uniquely decorated and adorned by local artists and designers and will be auctioned off for charity at the LionTown Auction Event at Ford Field on October 16, 2012.

The mission of LionTown 2012 is to contribute to the vitality of the greater Detroit metropolitan area through supporting regional art and culture, and to raise needed funds for the outreach programs of Detroit Lions Charities as well as members of the Children’s Charities Coalition which is comprised of CARE House (home of the Child Abuse and Neglect Council of Oakland County) and Variety The Children’s Charity.
